As a passionate advocate for girls and women in STEM education and careers and an activist for adding the “A” (Arts) for STEAM, I am pleased to provide you with and update on what’s been going on in the world of STEM/STEAM.

Kiwi Co has great STEAM subscription boxes for kids of all ages.  I have ordered a Tinker Crate subscription for my 10-year old niece.  I will provide a review once it is received.

Senators have introduced a $50 million bipartisan bill to help women and minorities enter STEM careers.

Amazon’s “Future Engineer” program has computer science opportunities from childhood to career-level.

Become a mentor! Research shows that personal interactions between teachers and girls at a coding camp impacted how the campers perceived their own coding capabilities.

3M’s “Science at Home” provides experiments for fun an learning for kids ages 6-12.

The Mobius Discovery Center may be temporarily closed, but they have many virtual experiences available for school-age kids.
